Thinking

Shows a preference for trusting logical and objective information.

Thinking and Feeling are terms used to describe which decision process is used. Thinking mode bases decisions on logic and reason in an impartial manner, while the Feeling mode bases decisions on a personal values in a subjective manner.

We all use a combination of both systems. We use the Thinking mode when we research consumer reports before buying a product or do our duty, even when we don't want to.  we use the Feeling mode when we buy something because we like it, keep our comments to ourselves to protect someone's feelings, or turn down a job offer because we don't like the environment.

Sometimes decisions are based entirely on one mode or the other, but most of time we use a combination of the Thinking and Feeling processes. The most difficult decisions to make are when the two modes are in conflict, while decisions that are easily made and leave us feeling good are when the two modes come to the same conclusion.
