WRITERS' VILLAGE IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE YOU TO:

Alison Hawke

I never planned on being a writer. At age six, I decided I was going to be a princess, until I realised I didn't have the regulation blonde hair. After that, I planned to be an accountant, a librarian, a particle physics researcher, a wife, a dreamer, a musician, a computer programmer, an organiser, an Internet geek. I've managed some of those goals so far.

I started writing in autumn 1998, a few months after moving from England to America. I found Writers' Village and tentatively signed up for Fiction 98. I loved it! My overactive imagination finally had an outlet.

And I'm still here, taking classes, talking to people, writing. I plan on staying a long time. I've met writers from across the globe and learned so much from them. I've made friends I would never have met outside WVU. See you in class!

"For every problem there is one solution which is simple, neat, and wrong."
-- H. L. Mencken
