WRITERS' VILLAGE IS PROUD TO INTRODUCE
YOU TO:

DC 'Pookie Pooka' Kidd
USA

Howdy All! My name is Dalton Clifton Kidd (yes, that's the name that's on the birth certificate); I write under the name D.C. Kidd. I am known in WVU and F2K as Pookie Pooka (a 6 foot tall magical rabbit) and hail from a small town deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. I began writing when I was 7, producing a poem dedicated to my mother for a class assignment for Mother's Day. It was at this time I discovered my love for poetry. Poetry has taken me through some mighty good and bad times.
I have an overactive imagination and a terrible sense of curiosity that has followed me into my adult years. One night I was surfing the web for writer's resources; I came across the link for WVU. I took their sponsored Fiction 98 course in May of 1988; I then took the Fiction 99 course in September of 1999. In October 1999, I was asked to be a Mentor for the F2K classes. I joined WVU in January 2000.
The genres I currently write are Fantasy, Poetry, Romance and Science Fiction. My publishing credits include three poems, one in a dog newspaper titled, "The Guardian;" the other, "Day's End," is in an Anthology titled "Silent Whispers." A poem, "What is Inspiration?," was published in the October issue of T-Zero Xpandizine. In addition, I have several short stories and a novel in the works, which I am now corroborating on with a very special Lady. I look forward to meeting and working with you in F2K and at WVU.
Welcome to the Pookie Pooka Library
