Joanne Oemig

Pianist, piano teacher, writer, and horse enthusiast, Joanne brings to her writing a zest for living combined with humor and the insatiable urge to let the limits of the imagination transfer to the written word. Whether her writing captures inanimate objects coming to life or the characters of a novel acting out their life on the page, her desire is to make imagination come alive through writing. 

She currently writes monthly articles for The Musical Family Magazine, as well as a humorous, bi-weekly column. In addition to performing, teaching, and writing, she works as a free-lance editor and facilitates F500 (Prepare for the Novel).

Joanne lives in Southern California with her husband, horse, and Golden Retriever. She and her husband have two adult children.
