I began my love of words at a young age, with my mother telling me stories. When I learned to read, and found the magic of words, I knew that I had to write stories too.

The magic that I found in stories carried me through college and to a Master's Degree in English Literature.

Once I graduated, I quickly found a job and my writing fell to the side. I had a few items that were gaining attention, but nothing that grabbed me. Missing school, and tired of "real" life, I found WVU accidentally. In the virtual halls of WVU I found friends who were going through the same things with their stories that I was with mine. The classes have been invaluable in helping my work, and my classmate's constructive criticisms have improved my writing immeasurably.

At WVU, I felt welcome from the first. That's why I'm a Site Guide. I hope to help others feel the same sense of welcome that I found when I first joined.
