This is an unusual course, not only because it deals with writing web content in a fresh, efficient way, but because you'll have hands-on guidance in building your own website -- and it's your to keep when you finish.

The writing part of the course is designed around Letting Go of the Words by Janice Redish. I've reviewed a lot of books on the subject, and this one is the best of the best. It covers every aspect of writing great, easy to read web content.

We'll cover the text in class -- but with a twist. You're homework is building your own site using the concepts. I'll provide the webhosting, a blog and more bells and whistles than you'll ever need. You can build it flashy and modern, or simple and fast. You can make it as complex as you want, or as basic as you want: it's your site, and yours to keep forever. No html or coding experience necessary.

I've had the writeronline.com domain for many years, but haven't used it. So you can have Yourname.Writeronline.com, and it's wide open; any name is available. You will have admin access to your site and add or make changes anytime.
